Aggregate Name
University of Utah ProtoGENI Backbone Nodes
Aggregate Overview
Aggregate Resources | This aggregate consists of nodes at Internet2 co-location sites at Kansas City, Houston, LIST LOCATIONS. The ProtoGENI backbone has a 1GB wave on the Internet2 infrastructure. The backbone runs Ethernet on these waves, and slices it with VLANs. Researchers cannot program the Ethernet switches directly, but they can select the topology of VLANs to run on top of the infrastructure. |
Typical Experiments | This testbed is suited for experiments that require custom vlan topologies over the Internet2 infrastructure. |
