Aggregate Manager URN | urn:publicid:IDN+openflow:foam:foam.instageni.rnet.missouri.edu+authority+am |
Aggregate Manager Common Name | missouri-ig-of |
Aggregate Resources | An InstaGENI aggregate includes 5 Hosts (3 VM Servers and 2 dedicated PCs) that can load experimenter specified OS images. Racks also support OpenFlow topologies, usually including extensions onto campus OpenFlow networks. Rack servers are HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8. |
Typical Experiments | InstaGENI provides a controllable, predictable, and repeatable network environment. Experimenters can get virtual machines or dedicated PCs on which they have |
Sample RSpecs | |
Aggregate Status | Operational monitoring not widely available, restricted access to monitoring at GMOC |
Slice Authorities Recognized | GENI Portal (https://portal.geni.net), ProtoGENI (http://www.emulab.net) |
Usage Policies | The GENI Recommended Use Policy is available. |
Layer 2 Connectivity | Internet2 AL2S |
The following is the layout of OpenFlow switch connections for the InstaGENI Aggregate. Shown are the OpenFlow Switches:
- InstaGENI Switch procurve2: Model: HP J9623A E2620-24 with VLAN 1750 DPID: 06:d6:2c:59:e5:6a:02:00
All UMC InstaGENI nodes are on the following VLAN:
VLAN ID | Purpose |
1750 | Shared Meso-scale OpenFlow VLAN |
Shared Meso-scale Port List
UMC OpenFlow connection to the GENI core network is via port name="A19" num="19" on the procurve2 switch.
All host eth1, eth2 and eth3 interfaces are connected to the OpenFlow switch for experimental use. Full list of port names and port numbers:
