Get Help using GENI

The best way to get help using GENI is through online forums and mailing lists:

  • GENI Users mailing list. This is the main avenue for help with GENI tutorials, resources and experiments. GENI Users is a community forum so you are encouraged to participate and help others.
    • NOTE: The default subscription setting is No Email, which means you will not receive emails from the group. Please change it to the setting that best matches your preference. We suggest All Email.
    • Before posting to mailing list please read some guidelines
  • GENI Educators mailing list. If you are using GENI in your class you should join this forum and ask any questions about running a class on GENI or about any of the GENI classroom modules.
  • If you are using a specific aggregate or tool, you should consider registering in their mailing list.
  • If you have a question that is not covered by the above mailing lists, feel free to email us at help@geni.net.

IRC Channel

Many times when the debugging can benefit from real time communication, we ask the users to chat real-time on IRC. Join us in a GENI chatroom.

GMOC Calendar

If you want to monitor outages of GENI resources register for the GMOC Google Calendars for scheduled and unscheduled outages.

To do that you can use the above urls in your favorite calendar application, e.g. in Google Calendar.
