Application configuration

The experimenter wants this experiment to be repeatable, and if the results vary in different settings he wants to be able to understand why, so he needs to collect some information about the environment in which the experiment runs. He can use some already-prepared ​OML-enabled applications to help him store the experiment context .

• ​getbsconf stores the configuration of the WiMAX base station in OML
• ​wmxstat (with its ​OMF application wrapper) records some basic signal strength and quality information about a WiMAX connection on a WiMAX-connected client

Now his application configuration looks like this:

Key:
Orange boxes are OML-enabled applications that report measurements to an OML server
Blue boxes are non-OML applications that run as part of the experiment
Purple nodes are OMF-enabled resources (e.g., have an OMF resource controller installed)
Gray nodes are not OMF-enabled
