     150The ERM Box is a robust, universally deployable device that consists of a suite of software and a set of hardware components that can support embedded real-time optical layer measurement, and further utilize this measurement capability to support cross-layer control. The following codes are soon to be released:

     153     -> SOA Controller Code - used to control the gain of the Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA)

     155     -> perfSONAR MP code used to obtain optical layer measurements from the Polatis OXC and Infinera DTN (see IMF code release)
     156     -> Software interface to obtain optical layer measurements from the Fujitsu FlashWave 9500 and a specially-built optical performance monitor (OPM)

     158Additionally, we developed a simulation environment with networking model incorporating the ERM Box and cross-layer measurement capabilities enabling experimental modeling in large scale networks. These simulation source codes will also be released soon.
