See http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GEC10DemoSummary for examples.) Demo participants: Steven Templeton (University of California, Davis) We demonstrate a swarm intelligence inspired, decentralized, light-weight, autonomous security monitoring system run on the DETER testbed using the Benito virtualization framework. For this demo, using slices of up to 640 nodes, we execute controlled attacks for the HiveMind system to detect, for example when the slice is used to launch distributed denial-of-service attacks against an internet host. List of equipment that will need AC connections (e.g. laptop, switch hardware prototype, monitor). (Just put in the number of connections needed if your demo description already lists the equipment) 2: our laptop and GENI's projector. Number of wired network connections (include required bandwidth if significant) 1 Number of wireless network connections (include required bandwidth if significant) 0 Number of static addresses needed (if any) 0 Projector (y/n) (Bring your own projectors if feasible) y Monitor (y/n, specify VGA or DVI) (Specify resolution only if your software has resolution restrictions.) n Number of posters (max size poster boards are 30"" x 40"") 1 Description of any special requests (include any non-commercial network connectivity needs, projects you'd like to be located near, etc.) It would be good to be near Matt Bishop's attribution project if they are also doing a poster.
