Nick says this is running late. He'll need to work with ProtoGENI to figure out what needs to be done, who will do it, and by when. Awaiting a plan for how and when work will get done.

Nick and Rob (ProtoGENI) met at GEC5 to discuss a plan to resolve this. Work has started.

Nick says:

Valas has also checked in a BGP Mux aggregate manager, with a readme, into the DTunnels svn.

Awaiting confirmation from Nick that the AM has been tested with ProtoGENI. For example, can I use the ProtoGENI interface to acquire a slice on a BGP-Mux?

Valas & Yogesh at GT will test their AM servers (that understand the new RSpec) and allocate the appropriate resources. Valas is doing the BGP-Mux, Yogesh is doing the tunnels/topology. Test will consist of taking the ProtoGENI flash client to generate an RSpec that is manually passed to the AM (since authentication isn't working yet).

PG team needs to add stuff to FlashClient to permit BGP-Mux sliver establishment. Tunnels should work now. Requires creation of parameters for 'node types'. Valas will send an 'advertisement' to base the Flash stuff on.

This work is done. A document with instructions for how to use the ProtoGENI flash client to allocate BGP Mux resources has been posted at http://groups.geni.net/geni/attachment/wiki/DTunnels/sfa-11Nov09.pdf.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
