Description

  1. Brief demo description (A few sentences suitable for a GEC9 attendee information page. See http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GEC8DemoSummary for examples.)

We will demonstrate the frontend GUI to ProtoGENI. This GUI will display the resources that are part of the ProtoGENI federation on a map. It will allow users to create slices, start up slivers on various component managers, and display those slices on the map. This GUI is available for all users of the ProtoGENI federation.

  1. List of equipment that will need AC connections (e.g. laptop, switch hardware prototype, monitor). (Just put in the number of connections needed if your demo description already lists the equipment)

We will bring one laptop, which will need a single AC outlet and a projector/screen.

  1. Number of wired network connections (include required bandwidth if significant)

1 wired connection, no special bandwidth requirements

  1. Number of wireless network connections (include required bandwidth if significant) only

none - Wired network connection preferred

  1. Projector (y/n) Monitor (y/n, specify VGA or DVI. Specify resolution only if your software has resolution restrictions) Bring your own projectors if feasible.

As long as the address is stable (eg. is unlikely to change during the course of the demo session), we don't need a static address assigned in advance

  1. Description of any special requests (There will be no layer 2 I2 or NLR VLANS to the GEC9 demo floor--only production Internet service)
