Template of info to include in your demo request ticket:

  1. Brief demo description (A few sentences suitable for a GEC8 attendee information page)
  1. List of equipment that will need AC connections (e.g. laptop, switch hardware prototype, monitor). (Just put in the number of connections needed if your demo description already lists the equipment)
  1. Number of wired network connections (include required bandwidth if significant)
  1. Number of wireless network connections (include required bandwidth if significant)
  1. Projector (y/n) Monitor (y/n, specify VGA or DVI) (Bring your own projectors if feasible)
  1. Number of posters (poster boards are 20" x 30")
  1. Number of static addresses needed (if any)
  1. Description of any special requests (e.g. VLANS to NLR or I2 backbone)

Please make sure to document your demonstration with a one-page summary prior to the demonstration. Attach the summary, or a URL pointing to the summary to your demo request ticket.

The GPO will post information about all demos on the GENI wiki (see http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/GEC7DemoSummary for an example), and this information is very valuable to the GENI community and to the NSF.

UCSD-GUEST wireless network background information is available on this page:

http://blink.ucsd.edu/technology/network/connections/wireless/

You may use wired, wireless, or both types of connections for your demo, but you must specify the number of connections in your demo requests. If more than one person will be using the wired connections, please provide names, emails and phone numbers for all users. For users are currently listed on the GENI wiki, names are sufficient. The users list information is a security requirement from UCSD.

Setting your ticket keyword to GEC8 is helpful.

http://groups.geni.net/geni/newticket?keywords=GEC8 will open a ticket with the keyword set to GEC8, and then you can copy the template from this ticket into the new one.
