TransCloud: Transcoding across an Advanced Network The TransCloud demonstrations shows the potential for creating powerful new capabilities and services based on distributed environments by integrating multiple clouds (established at highly distributed sites (GENICloud -- HP OpenCirrus, UCSD, and Northwestern) with the dynamic network provisioning envisioned by GENI. The TransCloud demonstration that separate infrastructures do not have to be implemented for different types of delivery platforms. The single TransCloud environment can provide streams available to mobile devices, computers, tablets, tile displays and any other edge device.

  1. Brief demo description

We will demonstrate how GENI experimenters can setup and use the OnTimeMeasure software for centralized and distributed measurements within their own ProtoGENI and *PlanetLab (New!)* slices. The demo will feature: researcher web-portal, user slice registration, distributed on-demand measurement, centralized on-going measurement, handling monitoring objectives, and user customizable dashboard. We will also demonstrate a *command-line control capability (New!)* of our OnTimeMeasure software that enables it to be integrated with experiment workflow tools.
